The Red Pearl Lingonberry is a compact, evergreen shrub grown for its glossy green foliage and bright red berries. This European variety produces larger fruit than many traditional lingonberries and is valued for both its ornamental appeal and edible harvests. The tart, cranberry-like berries ripen in late summer and fall and are commonly used in sauces, jams, jellies, syrups, and other preserves.

Red Pearl grows best in acidic, well-drained soil and performs well in full sun to partial shade. Reaching about 12 to 15 inches tall, it makes an excellent groundcover for edible landscapes, woodland gardens, and berry plantings. This variety is also known for being an effective pollinator for other lingonberry cultivars, helping improve overall fruit production.

It's self-fertile, but planting another variety nearby greatly increases fruit size and overall harvest.
