The Adams Elderberry is a productive elderberry variety that grows as a large deciduous shrub, typically reaching 6 to 10 feet tall at maturity. In early summer, it produces clusters of small white flowers that are followed by large bunches of dark purple-black berries later in the season. The shrub is native to North America and is commonly grown for both its fruit and its value in wildlife and pollinator gardens.

Adams Elderberry grows best in full sun to partial shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil, though it adapts to a range of growing conditions.
